Liquifly is a DIY rocket, powered by air and water. The rocket requires an easy 2 minute set up, and will launch your old plastic soft drink bottles over 30 meters.
It works on the same principles as other rockets, with the energy coming from water and air. The action of pumping air into the bottle filled with water creates high pressure which forces the water through the restricted opening at high velocity. This creates the thrust needed to launch the bottle high into the air.
It's a fun way to learn about rockets and Newton's third law of motion "every action has an equal and opposite reaction”.
This is not a toy - this should be regarded as a seriously fun experiment. Responsible adult supervision should be present at launch.
